Ginger pointed out to us that someone has been fixing up several benches on Greenwood Avenue, adding new armrests with billiard ball accents:

Do you know who is responsible for the repairs to all the wooden benches along Greenwood from 80th south at least to 74th? They replaced the arms with new wood and the wooden accent balls with billiard balls – so cool!!

We don’t know who to chalk this up to, so it’s an open table for anyone who can explain the source of this artistic endeavor in comments.

NORAD’s Santa Tracker is following Santa’s progress on his way to the Phinney/Greenwood area. This year’s tracker is quite the experience, with an interactive map containing pictures, background information and even explanatory videos (one in Fuji, Japan, explains that NORAD satellite technicians have calculated Santa’s speed at 100 times that of Japan’s bullet train).
