The Bearcat makes an *excellent* containment device for the alley! Someone's not very likely to just sneak past it.

Mike - tell her that I was thinking the same thing! Why do you need a Bearcat when you are dealing with an upstairs apartment? ;-) still, it's good to get practice in I guess.

Interesting- it sounds like they are letting a couple of robots check out the apartment! They are talking about opening the door to let the robots in. I'm assuming that these are those little tank- like things with cameras on them.

ooohhhh... sending in the robots to insure the place is clear.

(My wife just commented that they just want to get to use *all* their toys, since we paid for them!)

Only two involved; suspect in custody. Possible 3rd person was mis-identified (was suspect).

"We may still have a darker skinned black male inside."

The short guy is the suspect, from what I heard. There is a third person they're not sure about.

Update from a negotiator: there is still no reply from the victim inside. The suspect may have taken her phone.

Hi Mike! I'm glad that somebody else is listening! I heard the description of a male, short in stature, muscular build, and I think they said short, dark hair. Is that what you heard? They weren't sure if he was the suspect, or a third person in the apartment.

There are tactical comments between the officers that I'm not posting on the off chance that the suspect has access to this blog. I know it's far fetched, but better safe than sorry.

My husband was walking home from Chocolati a little over an hour ago and saw the police all around Gorditos and in the alley with guns drawn and they were escorting people out of Gorditos in small groups but not from other businesses.
