Advertising FAQ

Questions about advertising on PhinneyWood? You’ve reached the right place. If we can’t answer your question here, email us at ads@phinneywood.com.

What makes up an ad on PhinneyWood.com?

It’s a 180 pixel wide by 180 pixel high image which will link to the website of your choice. The image can be a logo, message or even a photo of your business. You can see the ads right now in the right column of this page.

What if I don’t have an image?

We can shoot a photo of the exterior of your business for no charge. We also work with a graphic designer who charges $50 to create the ad if you provide an image, $100 if she starts from scratch.

What if I don’t have a website to link?

We can create a simple page on PhinneyWood with text that you provide. Please contact us at ads@phinneywood.com for more details.

Where will the ad appear?

The ad will rotate through the three positions on the right column and three positions below the second story on the home page, plus the three positions in the right column of the story pages.

How many page views do you get?

We’re averaging 100,000 page views with 20,000 unique users a month. And we’re still growing.

When will the ad run?

Ads are put online the 1st and 15th of every month.

Can I change the ad image and/or text during the campaign?

Yes, once a month. Just email us the new information at ads@phinneywood.com.

How much does an ad cost?

An ad costs $125 per month, with a 5% discount for three months and a 10% discount for six months.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes! You can either pay in full by check or credit card. You will receive an invoice for payment once the ad is online.

Do you post public service announcements for free?

Yes, for non-profits in select circumstances. Please email us for details.

Can I buy ads on your blogs in Ballard, Magnolia, Fremont, Queen Anne, Wallingford, Maple Leaf, University District and Wedgwood-View Ridge, too?
