"The Unpaid Bills (Bill Rose and Bill Murlin) named themselves before the current recession. They continue to sing about money (or the lack of it) and life with a healthy dose of humor. The Cruzers are made up of the Unpaid Bills and Jim Portillo. They enjoy singing fun and meaningful songs with great harmonies. When an audience sings along, the songs get even better! They have the pleasure of knowing several of the artists who have written songs that they sing. These include Joel Mabus, Bill Staines, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Dundee, and Tom Paxton. The trio got its name because each of its members plays a certain type of Santa Cruz guitar, which makes them both uniform and distinct at the same time. Join the Cruzers for a fun time, full of sweet sounding music. Free, donations welcome. The Wayward Coffeehouse, 8570 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle. Info: 206-706-3240, waywardcoffee.com, pnwfolklore.org.
