King County begins using new emergency alert system

by | Jun 2, 2016

King County has a new emergency alert system, which went online yesterday. Anyone who was previously signed up with RPIN/AlertSense will need to register with ALERT King County. The system sends texts, email and phone call alerts about public emergencies or significant events. You can register both home and work addresses for geographic-specific alerts.

ALERT King County complements but does not replace other public notification systems, such as Flood Alert, Road Alert, Metro Transit Alert, or individual city alert services.
