Works Progress, a co-working space at 115 N. 85th St., is hosting a women’s business networking event in support of the new nonprofit Women’s Business Incubator, which supports mothers in business.

On May 18, from 7-8:30 p.m., business coach Janis Machala from Paladin Partners will give a brief presentation called “Getting started in Seattle’s Business Community,” followed by a Q&A, then networking time and cocktails. On-site childcare is available.

Hosted by the Women’s Business Incubator (WBI). WBI is a nonprofit business center for women with a focus on local business and leadership. We are dedicated to help women succeed as entrepreneurs, business owners and in their freelance careers by providing training and assistance in these five critical areas: 1. Leadership; 2. Funding; 3. Mentorship, training and business services; 4. Professional office space, business services and start-up assistance; and 5. Quality drop-in childcare services for infants thru pre-K.

Cost is $25; childcare is an additional $5. Sign up for the event online.
