Phinney Ridge Community Council’s annual meeting Tuesday to discuss city’s housing affordability agenda, PRCC board elections

The Phinney Ridge Community Council will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave N.

On the agenda:

  • An open discussion of how Seattle’s HALA (Housing Affordability Livability Agenda) proposals affect our neighborhood. Learn more about building heights and affordable housing options with panelists Alan Durning (author and Mayor’s HALA Task Force member), Jon Grant (Tenants Union of WA and HALA Task Force member), and Cindi Barker, Co-chair of City Neighborhood Council Land Use Committee)
  • PRCC annual board of directors election, beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. Nominations will be taken right up until that time. Anyone who lives, works, or owns property or a business between Aurora Avenue North and 8th Avenue NW and North 46th Street and North 75th Street can vote and/or be a board member.

Phinney Ridge Community Council is an independent, volunteer effort located in City Council District 6. PRCC members work with other community organizations and city departments to ensure our neighborhood shares in opportunities for public input and resources.
