- Lead Preschool Teacher: Responsible for coordinating with the Assistant Director of Programming on curriculum and classroom management at Whittier Kids Preschool, and mentoring and collaborating with associate teachers and classroom parents on individualized, play based, developmentally appropriate programming and practices. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, education or related field; two years of experience working with preschool children; familiarity with Teaching Strategies Gold or Creative Curriculum’s Developmental Continuum preferred; experience with the process of documenting observations and performing developmentally appropriate child assessments; current certification of CPR, First Aid and BBP Education instruction. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, paying $16-$17 per hour. The position is 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, paying $15 per hour.
