Gorgeous day for Phinneywood Summer Streets

Saturday’s weather was perfect for the annual Phinneywood Summer Streets, which closed down much of Greenwood Avenue to traffic so walkers, bikers, skateboarders and strollers could take over.
School of Rock musicians played on two different stages.

Seattle Animal Shelter had a canine agility course.

People had multiple opportunities to create art.

The Greenwood Street Soccer tournament in front of Naked City Brewery raised money for the Fred Hutch Innovators Network.

Lots of kids got their faces painted at Illumination Learning Studio.

Kids got to enjoy a bouncy house.

The organization Reading with Rover brought Kezie, a dog that helps kids learn to read by providing a sympathetic and uncritical ear.
