Haven’t done The Gumshoe yet? Try ‘Procrastishoe’ Sunday afternoon

by | Aug 7, 2015

If you purchased your entry form for the 10th annual Gumshoe 5K Walk but haven’t had time to do the detective walk through the neighborhood yet, never fear, there’s a special group walk just for you. And they call it “Procrastishoe.”

It’s not too late to finish the 10th annual Gumshoe 5K FUNdraising walk and enter the prize drawing for one of ten $100 gift cards from local businesses. The event continues through this weekend.

If you are a master at dragging your feet or a slowpoke who lets things slide until the last minute, join fellow procrastinators at Ken’s Market at 3 PM Sunday, August 9, to do the Gumhoe in a group. No entry form? Buy one at Ken’s. The Answer Man will follow the troop providing helpful hints and smart ass comments. You’ll finish in time to submit your entry form for the prize drawing that takes place that evening AND you’ll meet new people, explore unfamiliar (perhaps) parts of the neighborhood and get some exercise for both brain and body.

The Gumshoe is a FUNdraising detective walk held every summer in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge and Greenwood neighborhoods — an annual event that has raised over $38,000 for the Greenwood Senior Center, Greenwood Elementary School PTA and Greenwood Food Bank since it took its first steps (pun intended) in 2005!

Entry forms are $20 or $15 each if you purchase two or more together. Buy them at Ken’s Market, the Phinney Center, Starbucks (on Phinney) and Couth Buzzard Books. Solve the clues to discover the route and have fun. To learn more, check out the Gumshoe website at https://dothegumshoe.org.

The Answer Man is punctual, so don’t be late!

Note: The Gumshoe is a PhinneyWood sponsor.
