Last chance to register an activity for annual PhinneyWood Summer Streets on Aug. 8

by | Jul 17, 2015

This year’s annual PhinneyWood Summer Streets event will close down a good portion of Greenwood Avenue to cars from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, as neighbors converge for dozens of family-friendly activities, performances and sidewalk sales. Greenwood Avenue from North 70th to 87th streets will be shut down to cars and open to pedestrians, skates and bikes. If you’d like to register an event, this is your last chance.

Featured activities include a dog agility course, a bouncy house, dance performances, and more. At 70th Street, the South Music Stage, sponsored by Umpqua Bank, will host School of Rock-trained musicians alongside a kid-friendly headliner, The Not-Its! At 87th Street, the North Music Stage, sponsored by Verity Credit Union, will host rock headliners Polecat alongside School of Rock bands.
The PNA Business Group is assembling a map of activities for festival goers. If you would like to offer a free and family friendly activity and have it listed on the map, please email Amy Besunder at [email protected] no later than 7/22.
