Kids get free meals from Summer Food Service Program starting this week

by | Jun 25, 2015

The Summer Food Service Program (formerly known as Summer Sack Lunch) started this week at numerous sites around the region, providing free breakfast, lunch and snacks to kids and teens from ages 1-18. It’s funded by the United States Department of Agriculture to make sure all kids, but especially those who receive free and reduced price lunch during the school year, can continue to eat healthy food during the summer. No proof of income, address or citizenship is required.

Put your zip code into the Summer Meals Search Tool to find a site near you. Or call the multilingual Family Food Hotline at 1-888-4-FOOD-WA (1-888-436-6392).
