Ellen tells us someone broke into her apartment at 81st and Greenwood and stole a men’s yellow Cannondale bicycle (photo at right). She says it looks like someone just pried open the door and grabbed it. If you have any information, put a note in Comments or email us at [email protected].

Gail says her street has had three similar break-ins in just a few days. Two houses were broken into near the corner of NW 76th Street and 1st Avenue Northwest last Tuesday.

The break-ins happened in the middle of the day, bright daylight, and for each house broken into, neighbors were home at the time. Window casements were broken…this wasn’t a case of a window or door left open or a lock jimmied. For both houses, the windows broken were on the back side of the house, not visible from the street. Jewelry and electronics were taken.

And a third house on NW 76th Street closer to 3rd Avenue NW was then broken into on Friday.

Same pattern…middle of the day, broke open the glass French doors in the back. Neighbors were home at time.
