UPDATE: OWNER FOUND — Black and white speckled hen found in Greenwood

by | Jan 21, 2015

Update: The hen’s owner has been found.

Update: Brendan says the hen is apparently capable of some flying, because she got out of his fenced yard (she wasn’t in the coop because of conflicts with his own chickens) and tonight they found her down the street up in a shrub tree. She’s now back at his house. If she’s yours, email [email protected].

Earlier: Brendan found this black chicken near North 100th Street.

We have taken the chicken in and put it with our 3 birds in our coop. Our birds were already roosting so we don’t know if they will all get along together. Sometimes introducing a new bird to a coop can be met with harassment.

It is medium sized black and white speckled hen.
