Community meets mural fundraising goal

by | Jul 28, 2014

The community has raised the $5,000 needed to paint and maintain the new mural on the North 63rd Street/Aurora Avenue underpass, according to organizer/volunteer Mike Veitenhans. Volunteers painted the mural over the past two weekends. Now all that’s left is to apply the anti-graffiti coating.

A neighborhood celebration will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, in the grassy area next to the mural, across from Green Lake. Food and beverages provided.
Note: Neighborhood fundraising tours scheduled for Aug. 2 and 16 and Sept. 6 have been canceled since the fundraising goal has been met.
