Volunteers needed to paint new 63rd Street underpass mural this weekend and next

by | Jul 17, 2014

About 20 people have already signed up to help paint the new mural on the North 63rd Street/Aurora Avenue underpass this weekend and next, but another 20 are needed.

If you’re at least 12 years old, you can sign up for a shift here.

Fundraising for the project continues, with donation boxes set up at 10 neighborhood businesses, and the ability to make an online donation through the Phinney Neighborhood Association. The goal is $5,000 to match a Department of Neighborhoods grant, which will pay for all the paint, anti-graffiti coating and a maintenance contract.

Here’s the latest fundraising total through last Friday.
