6th Annual Party in Greenwood Park is Aug. 16

by | Jun 12, 2014

Here’s an early heads up that Friends of Greenwood Park will celebrate the 6th annual Party in Greenwood Park, 87th and Fremont Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.
The Bubbleman will perform from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The vegan food truck “No Bones About It” will be on site for lunch purchases.
New this year is a “pop-up adventure playground where children ages 1-12 are encouraged to work together to create whatever their imaginations desire from recycled materials while adults mingle.” It’s free, but a $2-$5 donation is suggested per child.
Friends of Greenwood Park is looking for volunteers to help set up and take down the adventure playground. They’re also looking for recycled materials, such as large cardboard boxes and tubes, decorative arts and crafts materials, sheets, fabric, scarves, and dress-up items. Email organizers if you can help.
