Earth Day work party in Greenwood Park on Sunday

by | Apr 17, 2013

Everyone is invited to help pull weeds and clean up Greenwood Park during Earth Day on Sunday. The work party is from 12-4 p.m. Bring gardening gloves, weeding tools, and a snack to share. There will also be a garden seed exchange.

The spring greens are coming up in the community garden. Kids and adults are playing on the sport court. The playground is filled with children’s laughter. The Park is in bloom with spring flowers but bindweed, dandelions and other weeds are trying to choke them out. Please come get your hands dirty helping to tend the planting beds. Then share potluck snacks and exchange seeds for planting spring gardens.

Your commitment and energy make this park and this neighborhood great.
