Road crews finishing up concrete grinding on 85th Street in Greenwood starting Tuesday

by | Feb 25, 2013

Seattle Department of Transportation crews will start grinding the concrete outer lanes of North 85th Street between Aurora Avenue North and Greenwood Avenue North on Tuesday. This is some final wrap-up work from the massive, year-long repaving of 85th Street, which was mostly completed in October.
Crews are grinding the lanes to “improve the ride quality of the roadway surface.”
One lane of 85th Street in each direction will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday. Work is weather dependent, so it could be rescheduled if it rains.
Expect some minor delays. Metro buses will run normally, but some bus stops may be shifted slightly.
