The Flourish Collection will open later this month at 7406 Greenwood Ave. N., where Assemble Gallery & Studio was until last month (Assemble has moved its business online.) Flourish sells letterpress cards, fine stationery and gifts.

Kristine Lynch tells us by email that she and her husband, Bob, previously owned a Flourish shop in Wallingford, from 2001-2006, then moved online, but really wanted to get back into a brick-and-mortar space.
They chose Phinney Ridge because they live near the neighborhood (on the line between Phinney and Ballard) and love walking up to the ridge for shopping and dining.
“We’ve always, always wanted to have our business in this bustling, thriving and friendly neighborhood. And boy, did we luck out. We already know we have the best new neighbors ever!” Lynch wrote.
In addition to their own line of paper goods, the store also will sell stationery and gifts from small businesses around the U.S.
“As graphic designers who own and operate a 1920’s Chandler and Price letterpress (named Cornelius), we are working on building our own line of paper goods. We definitely have a soft spot for refined, stylish, uncomplicated objects that are not only useful, but make the world just a little more visually satisfying,” she said.
The Flourish Collection is hoping to open on Saturday, Jan. 26. The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 12-5 p.m. Sunday. For updates on the store’s opening, see their Facebook page.
