Phinney neighbors create ‘Resolution Tree’

by | Jan 3, 2013

Neighbors around North 75th Street and Fremont Avenue North in Phinney Ridge have created a “resolution tree” in their traffic circle. Jamie tells us they’ve set out a tin with paper shaped like leaves at the base of the tree. Everyone is invited to write their resolutions and hang them from the tree.

The resolution tree was the idea of Jamie’s 3-1/2-year-old daughter, Jesse (below). “The tree was her idea and she has been checking on its progress every morning,” Jamie writes. “Her resolution this year was to ‘be kind.'”

“Our goal is to have the tree come to life with our good intentions for the new year and to be a visual reminder to us of our goal,” she added.
