Greenwood Park expansion update

by | May 21, 2012

The volunteer group Vision Greenwood Park has been working hard all winter to finalize the design for the new multi-sport courtyard, which will be installed in the empty lot next to the park along Fremont Avenue and North 87th Street. Construction will begin in June.
Contractors will pave a courtyard and install two “free game goals,” which are basketball hoops with soccer/hockey goals beneath them.

An example of “free game goals” that will be installed in Greenwood Park.
The 4th annual Party in the Park is set for 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 22. Neighbors are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the sport courtyard, eat, listen to live music, and bid on donated items to help pay for artwork in the park. If you can help out, please email VGP or see their website for more info.
