What do you think the snow odds are?

by | Jan 31, 2011

Today’s chill in the air was a bracing reminder winter is not over yet. Noted UW Atmospheric Sciences Professor Cliff Mass says there’s still a chance we could see measurable snow before the winter is over.

This is a La Nina year and our chances of getting snow during the next month–in the lowlands or in the mountains— is ENHANCED compared to normal. But there are no guarantees. La Nina is like weighting the dice …you increase the odds of a certain throw, but there are other possibilities.

For the next few days, at least, the forecast calls for cold, but dry weather.

OK, armchair forecasters, what’s  your take on the odds of snow in the PhinneyWood area in the next few months?
