Standing room crowd at Beth Pflug’s retirement party

by | Jan 24, 2011

A standing-room-only crowd filled the Greenwood Masonic Lodge on Sunday afternoon to thank Beth Pflug for her two decades of service as the Coordinator of the Northwest Neighborhood Service Center in Greenwood.

Mayor Mike McGinn addresses the crowd.
As part of her job, Pflug attended countless community meetings, acting as a liaison between community groups, and was known to many as the face of the neighborhood. She had already planned to retire before the city closed down the Greenwood NSC and five others to help trim the budget.

Beth Pflug (center, wearing bright red) is surrounded by community leaders she worked closely with over the years, including former Department of Neighborhoods Director Jim Diers (far left), former Phinney Neighborhood Association Executive Director Ed Medeiros (fourth from right), and Mayor Mike McGinn (third from right).
