A homeowner in the 500 block of N. 66th Street called police last Thursday (4/22) after seeing a man walking away from her neighbor’s backyard. She told officers that her neighbor was out of town and described the man as a transient. Police checked the house and found that the window on the side door had been broken out and the deadbolt unlocked. Officers secured the house and left information for the homeowner. It’s unclear if anything was stolen.
Another burglary was reported that same day around 10:30pm in the 8700 block of Dayton Ave. N. Someone used bolt cutters to break into a garage and steal a large supply of tools.

Is there a better description of the suspect?

Sounds like the second one was the same person that broke into our back yard that same day – used bolt cutters too. Fortunately we don’t keep anything valuable in the garden shed.
