Don tells us that some birds nest on his porch every year, so he decided to take daily pictures of the progress of nest building and egg laying and created a special website to document it. He thinks the birds are purple finches.
The nests are in a depression in the top of a pillar on the South West and South East corners of our front porch.
As of yesterday, there are five eggs in one of the nests.
