The Greenwood-Phinney Chamber of Commerce and Pacific Publishing Company (publisher of the free paper North Seattle Herald-Outlook) teamed up to produce a full-color, fold-out walking map of our neighborhood.
The free map shows every street from 17th Avenue Northwest in Ballard to Densmore Avenue North (about the middle of Green Lake), and from North 52nd Street to just past Northwest 105th Street. It includes parks, major landmarks, a list of neighborhood resources and events, and ads for more than 50 businesses in the neighborhood (including PhinneyWood).
Free maps are available at dozens of neighborhood businesses, as well as the Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center at 8515 Greenwood Ave. N., Phinney Neighborhood Center at 6532 Phinney Ave. N., and the Woodland Park Zoo.

The map sounds nice! Suggestion: Since it’s free, why not make it available for downloading, in PDF format?
Incidentally, that could also draw traffic to the newspaper’s website…

I love maps! YEAH! I love to open one up, spread it out on the floor and look for undiscovered country ( in a manner of speaking)

As of Friday early afternoon, nobody seems to have these maps available *quite* yet…looks like the press scooped the actual suppliers.
But coming soon, apparently. And they sound like they will be worth waiting for.

LS – The Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center has a map holder attached to their window. I saw the maps there last weekend. And if you go inside the Greenwood Collective just a few doors down, they’ve got a stack on the counter.

Am happy to report that enroute to the Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center, I stopped by the Greenwood branch of the Seattle Public Library, and *they* had the maps.

I am not sure if this is on the map, but there is also going to be a Craft Fair at SPACE that day. Handmade crafts and all that jazz. From 1-5pm. Hope to see you there as well!

I got the map at Chef Liao’s but I fail to see how it is a walking map. It looks more like a business map to me. If it were a walking map, wouldn’t it have favorite walking routes on it?
