Swapapalooza lets women trade their clothes for new (used) duds

by | Apr 7, 2010

The Phinney Neighborhood Preschool Co-op is having its second annual Swapapalooza extravanganza on Saturday, May 8. Here’s the idea: women scour their closets for consignment-quality clothes they no longer wear, then they swap them for clothes from somebody else.

Ladies, this is “girl’s night out” during the day. We’ve got baked goods, caffeine and amazingly fashionable stuff. You and your wardrobe can’t afford to miss it!

This year’s event is at the Small Faces / ARC School of Ballet at 9250 14th Ave. NW in Crown Hill. You need to register online first, and pay the $10 admission fee. Drop off your clothes from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 7 (minimum donation is 10 items). Check-in starts Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m.
You’ll get one “trade ticket” for every two items you bring to swap. Women who bring in a large amount of clothes will be eligible to enter the swap five minutes early.
Proceeds pay for renting the facility and to support the PNPC; all remaining items will be donated to charity.
