Public celebration in memory of Nancy McKernon

by | Feb 27, 2010

Neighborhood resident and activist Nancy McKernon passed away from breast cancer earlier this month. Her family is inviting everyone to join them for a celebration of her life at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Earl Kelly Performing Arts Center at Ballard High School.
Here’s a portion of a statement from the Greenwood-Phinney Chamber of Commerce:

To all those who knew her and especially the most fortunate who got to work and play with her it is an understatement to say that our world has been left with a little bit less light and love within it. Still, for the many who will long remember her, those memories will always be a beacon of joy and happiness and warmth to light our way towards being better friends, better neighbors and better human beings.
Please join Nancy’s family in a celebration of her wonderful life on Saturday, February 27th at 4pm at the Earl Kelly Performing Arts Center at Ballard High School. There will be a reception immediately following in the Commons.

If anyone has a picture of Nancy, please email it to us so we can add it to this post.
