February 3rd, 2010 · 6 Comments

Those helicopters you heard overhead earlier this evening were news choppers covering the story of a woman whose car went into a ravine near Carkeek Park just after 6 p.m. It happened at Third Avenue Northwest and NW 115th Street. KING 5 reported the woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

I saw this as it happened. The woman driver and those driving north and south at the moment were lucky, it’s unbelievable. How she didn’t hit anyone in 5pm north/south traffic on 3rd ave nw is amazing.

Hey witness, how did she end up in the ravine? Was she going too fast? Or swerve to miss something?

When are they going to put up some guard rails? That spot in the road really needs soe before someone gets seriously hurt or dies.
