People have packed the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Winter Festival & Crafts Fair, according to coordinator Lisa Crabtree.
She said today that the festival has been a great success, with big crowds, especially on Saturday. Vendors, too, are pleased with the turnout and their sales, she said.

The festival goes until 5 p.m. today and also features entertainment on two stages, including the Hukunani Dancers:

The final acts take the stage at 3:30 p.m. You’ll have your choice of the Ballard Sedentary Sousa Band, or Shahrazad, a belly dance group.

The parking problems slop over into the neighborhood. I am not pleased by having to park almost a block from home for two days. The PNA has done nothing to mitigate this either. At least they could show up with some tickets to the event.
Well, it’s over again at last.

“Almost a block”? Brutal. And when you sell your house and move to the ‘burbs you won’t advertise “close to shops and PNA”?? Just wondering…don’t get all bent out of shape, but…

Oh my goodness. You’re upset for having to park almost a block away from your house for TWO days a year? Crikey. Seems a tilly thing to get upset about.

This is a great event and the vendors make some really beautiful and unique things.
My mom was in town and she loved it.
Thanks PNA!!

John, you’re lucky you don’t live near the zoo. On a sunny day you might have to park six blocks away….. and don’t ever plan a Saturday or Sunday afternoon BBQ, cuz you’d need to shuttle your friends to your house. Sorry, having to park a block away is nothing to gripe about.

I am always amazed at neighbors to PNA who complain about noise and parking. You live right next to one of the most amazing, vibrant community centers in the city!! You are blessed! And how could you not know it would have spillover issues of sound and traffic living right there?! I would love to trade you my crappy street with no sidewalks and open drains and nothing within walking distance for your “problems”!
