Here’s another one from our friends at SeattleCrime.com: Seattle Police got a report that the suspect in the slaying of four Lakewood police officers was spotted today at near the north end of Green Lake74th and Corliss.
We can’t vouch for the veracity of this, but it is a reminder to keep an eye open for Maurice Clemmons. Doubtless there will be many more reports of sightings across the region until he’s caught.
Thanks, Neighbor, for spotting the post.
Update: At about 12:30 p.m., police formed a perimeter around Cowen Park in nearby Ravenna, according to SeattleCrime.com. And whether the Green Lake area sighting was for real or not, we felt it was in the public interest to mention it. That said, there’s a report of him being spotted in Auburn and other far-flung locations too.

Am I missing something? I’m not seeing any references to a sighting in that area on the Seattle Crime blog.
And when I looked on a map for the intersection of those two streets, I didn’t find one. They look like they’d cross under water in Green Lake.

Princess – Looks like SeattleCrime.com removed the mention of 74th and Corliss since we put up that post. Possible sightings are coming in fast and furious, so stay tuned…

You can’t vouch for the veracity, but you publish it anyway? It pains me to say that my Fox News sense is tingling…
74th and Corliss is a mistake — either a typo or a some sort of misunderstanding. Indeed, it does not exist, according to Google Maps.

“Princess” and Doree: Here is the mention from SeattleCrime.com (still up, and I’m not sure how you missed it):
“Police are getting reports of sightings all over the city, including one that just came in at 74th and Corliss.”
From the chatter on the scanner, this is one of like 1,659 reported sightings so far this morning.

there’s going to be a ton of “possible sightings” of this asshole until he is captured or found dead in some alley.

Now they’re looking in Ravenna …

Where are you seeing a reference to a sighting in North Green Lake?
Dave is correct – there is no 74th and Corliss, so that was an error on SeattleCrime.com – have you seen reference to another location in North Green Lake?

The POS is dead: http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/12/01/washington.suspect.shot/index.html
Turns out, the false tips were supplied by his family, to throw off the investigation. What a bunch of scumbags.

There is a 7400 block of Corliss Ave N. And that is near the north end of green lake. A small topographical leap to 74th and Corliss
