A number of people commented in the forum over the last few days that Roosters Breakfast Club at 6020 Phinney Ave. N. appears closed. I stopped by there Wednesday night and saw a hand-written sign on the front door saying they were closed temporarily, but would reopen soon.
I called Roosters this morning but the phone rang numerous times without an answering machine picking up. We’ll keep trying to find out more information. If anyone else has any info, please put a note below in comments.

It has been closed for a full week, and the sign just went up yesterday. Fishy.

Honestly, when I have popped into Rooster’s over the past year it has been closed more often than not. Once it was “mechanical problems.” Another time, no explanation. Then they were closed on Mondays. The place has always seemed to be on the bring of folding, if you ask me. Too bad. It’s a decent enough place when it’s open.

I’ve been a regular Rooster patron since it opened, and have always enjoyed the food and the service. There were a few glitches every now and then, and a bit of turnover–not uncommon in the restaurant business. The most recent crew has always been gracious, friendly, upbeat, speedy, and skilled. The food has always been excellent. The owner has always been eager to please, and I have seen him replace any unsatisfactory food or not charge for it. I miss the Rooster, and hope to see it reopen soon!
