8 Limbs Yoga to open Nov. 21

by | Oct 29, 2009

8 Limbs Yoga (a PhinneyWood sponsor) announced in August that it was moving into the Fini condos on Greenwood Ave. N. and N. 68th St. sometime this fall. Director Anne Phyfe Palmer told me this morning that they’ve now got an official opening date set for Saturday, Nov. 21 (just in time to start working off those holiday over-indulgences).
But even before they open, they’ll be participating in the neighborhood’s Safe Trick or Treat event from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday.
8 Limbs has yoga studios in Capitol Hill, Wedgwood and West Seattle. They offer Hatha yoga for all levels (including special intro classes), parent and toddler yoga, yoga for guys, yoga for seniors, and yoga for athletes.
Their Phinney Ridge location will have two studios, limited childcare and a boutique. They’re offering membership specials for people who sign up before they open.
They’ll have a Thanksgiving Day benefit class from 9:30-11 a.m. with proceeds going to Solid Ground. It’s a sliding scale donation, with a suggested donation of $20.
Their grand opening event will be from 4-8:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4. A free parent and child and yoga class is from 4:30-5:15 p.m. (the rest of the studio will be open for visitors); music, food and “blessing of space” from 5:15-7 p.m.; and a free all levels candlelit yoga class from 7-8:15 p.m.
