Fire investigators on site of Greenwood fire

by | Oct 27, 2009

The Seattle Fire Department reports that fire investigators are on the scene of last Friday’s devastating fire that destroyed four businesses in downtown Greenwood. The investigators couldn’t get in until today because they were waiting for contractors to shore up what remains of the Eleanor Roosevelt Building to make sure it didn’t collapse.
SFD says investigators will likely remain on site until dark, but won’t have a cause or estimate of damages for a few days.
