Fire investigation to begin Tuesday

October 26th, 2009 · 6 Comments

Dana Vander Houwen from the Seattle Fire Department just told us that fire investigators will begin their investigation of Friday’s devastating fire at several Greenwood businesses on Tuesday.

They are waiting for contractors to finish shoring up the front of the brick building so that it doesn’t collapse. Once investigators get into the fire scene, the investigation is expected to take a few days.

Hope they don’t wait until Tuesday to step up the search for the Greenwood Arsonist.

Looks like they got a head start on the investigation, because it began earlier today, Monday.

And just because every step isn’t being broadcast doesn’t mean they aren’t doing their job. Sheesh!

Hope everything goes well, and looking forward to the cause of the fire.

Always so many different kinds of reasons for devastating fire.

Does anyone know who to contact to offer services in rebuilding that portion of 85th Ave?
I am thinking the management company. Thanks for any help.

Becca - Since Taproot Theater owns both of the most heavily damaged properties, I’d start with them.
