Displaced Taproot Theatre shows well-attended

Several hundred people attended the final two showings of “Enchanted April,” which was moved to the Seattle Children’s Theatre because of the fire next door to Taproot Theatre in Greenwood.

“They were extremely well-attended,” Scott Nolte said. “The cast got a standing ovation at both shows.”

Nolte was awaiting a final audience count, but said it appeared each show had about 300 attendees. They even sold about 50 additional tickets to Saturday’s matinee performance.

“It was not the way we expected to end the year, but all things considered,” it was a successful end to the play’s run and an uplifting finish for the cast, Nolte said.
