Greenwood’s Bherd Studios creates neighborhood mural

October 14th, 2009 · 5 Comments

Greenwood’s Bherd Studios is on a mission to install art wherever the neighborhood wants it. Bherd’s most recent installation is at the ProSki shop located on 90th & Aurora. Bherd co-owner John Osgood teamed up with Zachary Bohnenkamp and Kevin “Sensei23″ Sullivan of Matamuros to create the huge mural last weekend.

Matamuros also painted a mural inside Pillager’s Pub. Osgood’s first neighborhood mural was at 85th & 3rd (where Bherd used to be located), and he has two inside Neptune Coffee.

These three artists were also recently selected by the Delridge Neighborhood in West Seattle to help design artwork for their new skatepark that will be constructed next year in Delridge park.

I was sitting at the table in Neptune a few months ago staring at the “Trident” mural and thinking it was awesome. I’d love to get some of these guys’ art up in my house. Thanks for putting a face to the name.

Good stuff! The mural is the only thing at Pillagers Pub that makes it look like they put thought into the decor. It’s such a great mural to compliment the great beer.
    More murals! :-)

    Very wonderful.

Bherd is such a great part of our neighborhood and the camaraderie with Matamuros is great to see. Thank you John & Michele and also Zachary and Kevin.

    More murals. Please.
