I stopped here for lunch and was impressed with how quickly they prepared my food as I explained I had frozen groceries in the car. Very pleasant staff, nice environment; from the wall colors to the menu. Good phad Thai. Looking forward to a return trip for dinner.

My husband and I have had food from Tangerine Thai three times now. Their food is really good and fresh tasting. We like it much more than we like the food from the various Thai restaurants down in Fremont. One of our favorites is their yellow-curry seasoned dish with potatoes — maybe because it is different than other Thai offerings. Their curries are also tasty – the coconut milk tastes rich without seeming overly thick with fat. I can taste the individual spices in each dish so it is really delightful.

The high ceilings in the restaurant make it feel spacious.

Once we were there when they had a large number of delivery orders to send out and our food took quite a while to come, but the other two times it was very fast.

The night we had dinner there was one of our “inferno” heat wave days so, the restaurant was quite hot inside. There were tables by the big window but, they had been snagged by other patrons.
The staff made up for the heat by being super attentive and serving an awesome saki-tini.
My husband attempted a 4 star dish but, was thankfully talked down a star. My pad thai was delicious.
We will definitely be dining there again and have highly recommended Tangerine to a friends and neighbors.

My husband and I ordered take out from Tangerine, and it was awesome! This is the third time we have eaten here we have taken friends and they loved it too. Glad to see there is a tasty Thai restaurant in Phinney.

Best Pad Ki Mao in town. The other dishes are fantastic too and the service has been super friendly every time I’ve been there. Highly recommend.

I agree with the above reviews…really good food and a notch above the Fremont that selections. I just wish they took credit cards……

We ordered take-out a few weeks ago. Very good taste. However a few issues: they don’t take credit cards and their portions were much smaller than the Fremont places we normally use for takeout. We might try again, but we might go back to our Fremont fave: Kwanjai.

Good food is what brings me in but no credit cards is what keeps me away.

Great food, excellent service, very nice place to sit and eat. Relaxing, nice style and down to earth. They now take credit cards and have a liquor license. Best Phad Thai in town. Gotta support the local folks (the good ones) if we want to keep them around.

I love Tangerine Thai, the dishes are made on order and it tastes fresh and delicious.

I’m very happy Tangerine Thai is in the neighborhood.

I _really_ like the food there. But my god, the service is TERRIBLE, at least on take out orders. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been placed on hold and forgotten about or told it will be 20 minutes, and when I get there 21 minutes later I still wait for another 10 to 15 minutes. They simply need more people working the front of the house there. Of course I feel like a sucker because I keep going. Maybe I should stop.

The Tom Yum soup here is better than I’ve had anywhere else- and it’s great for when you’ve got a cold. Spicy! I agree that the take out/delivery service could be better, but I’m willing to live with it for the great Thai food.

I’ve never had a problem with the take-out or delivery. Odd. I’ve placed probably a dozen orders over the last 18 months. I’ve never been put on hold, my order has always been right and always on time.
