Crunchy hockey pucks on a bun is what passes for a burger at this joint. Although the atmosphere is comfortable, this place best appeals to the 50 and over crowd.

disagree, but to each his own. Although much further from our house than when we lived in Bal-Lard - we still go fairly regular….

If there’s a better place to play Backgammon with my dad while enjoying one Guiness, I don’t know where it is.

Good beers, old time-y food. This is my local watering hole and it remains a holdout from the 80s…the type of place that’s disappearing in this city: dark, quiet, rustic without trying to be kitsch. This is where you go to drink a pint and be alone or play cards with friends.

Its name (and the meaning behind it) rocks btw.

Dark and sticky, it reeks of age and the days of yore. How many have sat and drank their troubles away here, pondered their existance, or laughed a beer high into the night? Its days are numbered - and when it’s gone a door is shut.
