I love this place. Great staff, wonderful coffee and pastries (from Macrina Bakery?) YUM! They have a quaint little area in the back with a couch and toys! Yes toys, so mom’s & dad’s can have their coffee and play with their kiddo’s too.

Very friendly. Service can be a little slow though. It’s great they allow dogs - I wish more places would around here.

The coffee here is the best in Seattle - very similar to coffee found in Europe. Yes, you need to be patient though.

Makeda is by far the best cafe in the Greenwood neighborhood and very high ranking for all of Seattle. Awesome 7 Rosters coffee and a wonderful staff. The dog friendly atmosphere makes it seem more like a little European cafe than a coffee bar in Seattle. A real gem. Check it out!

A great, (slightly) hidden gem — the very definition of a “neighborhood cafe.” Friendly people, good coffee, and vinyl on the turntable. A peaceful place to hole up and relax. I feel lucky to have Makeda and Herkimer within blocks of each other, and split my time (and my coffee dollars) between both.
