Dry fried string beans with tofu. The BEST dish. Hard to find anything that even gets close.

“Steamed Fish” might sound boring, but it’s really, really good - my new favorite (but if you don’t like cilantro, you might not be so keen on it). “Seafood Casserole” is also tops. They deliver, which is a handy option if you live in the neighborhood.

Is there any news on Szechuan Bistro’s plans (or expressed lack thereof) to rebuild? Its one thing to face the rest of my life without SB’s hand shaven noodles but I’m also a bit concerned for the folks that operated it. They were all so nice.

I asked around and finally called Taproot Theatre. They said they could not give out the SB families’ phone number but they did give me the address to send a letter. I did that and, alas, it was returned. Maybe if enough people call the Taproot, we can find out what is going on and if they plan to reopen. I hope so, sure do miss that delicious food!

I miss it too! I lived in Yunnan province (just south of Szechuan) for 2.5 years, and this place was my favorite in Seattle. Come back, come back!!!

Szechuan Bistro was the restaurant my family and I visited at least twice per month. We had hot pot there, 2 days before the fire.
I really miss their food and the friendly owners.
I hope they will decide to reopen soon but to see their hard works gone with the fire, must hurts a lot.
希望能再吃到您的火鍋和刀削面
謝謝
