We had a very nice dinner at Kouzina last Saturday night. But no one else was there!?! Things that were great include: emphasis on local, organic and healthy/tasty options.; lovely whole wheat pita with the complementary and tasty hummus; dolmathes had nice, subtle flavor notes – lemon and mint, in a nice tomato sauce; lamb moussaka was not your average ( this also had some nice nuance of flavor, but required a spoon unlike most of the ground meat options I’m used to, with chunks of lamb, cheese, and creamy sauce – very nice) We ordered a salad that had lots of humous, cabbage, olives and carrots (not crazy about those faux mini carrots, but hey…).We very much like the small plate options — two of us shared three dishes, plus the complementary appetizer, filled ourselves a bit beyond sensibility, and brought food home. It was a very reasonably priced night out, felt like we had our vegetables along with some rich indulgences, and enjoyed the setting.
