A group of serial burglars have been hitting parking garages and storage lockers at condos near 85th and Greenwood in Greenwood and at 15th and Market in Ballard.
According to the report, there’s surveillance video of the burglars (but it’s not posted online).
Police say the female suspect is in her early 20’s; about 5’5 tall with dark hair and a heavy build. She was wearing a North Face Jacket. The male suspect is also in his early 20′s, about 5’5 to 5’9 tall with blonde hair. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, jeans, and a North Face backpack. The pair may frequent the Ballard, Greenwood, or University District.

The surveillance video is posted on the lower right hand side of Ch. 13’s web page. It shows the male suspect pretty well.

What a joke… I tried calling the “tips” number to report a suspect, and they wouldn’t take my report because I don’t know the kid’s last name and have his exact address – even though I know SPD North Precinct already knows this kid on a first name basis (and it’s a pretty unique name).
Apparently the police want us to wrap up suspects in a pretty ribbon for them before they’ll do anything. Do we have to give them a ride to the station too?

Dale – I did call the North Precinct directly – and was told to call back during the “normal working hours of 8:30am – 4pm” the detectives are in.
Look – if the desk sergeant who answered the phone can’t be bothered to take the info when I am able to call, then it’s obviously not a priority for SPD.
As for posting the kid’s name here… not a chance. Just because I think the kid I know looks like the kid in the photo doesn’t give me that license. It’s the police department’s job to follow up on that – it’s just a shame they can’t be bothered to do it until it’s convenient for them.

i know who committed this crime and they have both been arrested but because i didn’t know their address they wouldn’t listen to me either. the woman i have known for years and the man, only a short period of time. they are looking at 7+ years in jail…
