New Noodles to open in old record store spot on Greenwood Avenue

Thai restaurant New Noodles will be moving into the spot formerly occupied by Golden Shower of Hits at 8576 Greenwood Avenue N. Owner Bing Phung has received a construction permit to remodel the space, located between Yen Wor Garden and Rite Zone Discount Store.

When I stopped by Wednesday afternoon the front door was open and a lot of construction was happening inside:

    “Golden Shower of Hits?” How did I not know about a place with a name like that?

    It was a pretty awesome name. The owner was a big punk fan back in the day, and it was apparently the name of an album by The Circle Jerks. Too bad they didn’t make it.

    I can’t believed i missed this place. What an awesome name. I wonder how many eyebrows were lifted? They should name the new place Golden Shower of Noodles. hehe

    Will it be like the Golden Shower I got on Patpong in Bangkok in ’78?
