As far as the folks at Pete’s know, it’s graffiti and they’ll ask the building owner to paint it out. Thanks, Loretta, for spotting it and letting us know about it. Any idea what it means?

Could it be a reference to Graffiti knitting (knitting items on, or to be left on the street)?

It may be neatly painted but it is no different than any other unauthorized tagging of private property.

Turns out it’s signage for the McGraw Carpet business in that building. Guess no one told Pete.
