The still empty former McDonald’s in Greenwood has again been hit with graffiti. The empty tag magnet is an unfortunate counterpoint to efforts to improve Greenwood’s “downtown” core.

I was under the impression that this building was going away with the construction of the through-street. Apparently not.

All…..I was just there Friday and none of this was about. Yet, these are some of the EXACT same tags that were here the last time the place got done before the “fence” went up. I know these are the same youth that have been clowning us for months. Whose up for an all nighter. I will gaurantee that the space next to Moonphoto is next if not for the threatening note that was left there for the miscreants the last time the owners cleaned up in July. I’ll stay up all night, and SPD said all we need to make it legal is a cell phone. Anyone….please…it only takes one bust to put these fools out….

It is difficult to put together a posse to protect someone else’s property.

Anybody know any details about this? For sale? Lease? All it says is “available”.

I live a few doors down from this former McDonald’s. The tags were still up this afternoon, almost three weeks later!
So… I walked across the street to Bartell’s, purchased five razor blades for $0.99, and spent exactly one hour removing the graffiti.
Come on, people! Take some initiative. See some graffiti? Instead of whining about it, do something.

If you honestly believe you can keep the building clean by forming a “posse” you are extremely misinformed. Having a cellphone doesn’t make you a cop- these vandals aren’t going to treat you with fear in the way they would an officer, instead they’re going to confront you-leaving you with an assault on a minor charge. This is going to continue to happen and frankly, there is nothing you can do about it.

you all are idiots. Stop freaking out! you do realize that graffiti is apart of the economy it regulates jobs and all sorts of aspects of a community. And as for “it only takes one bust to put these fools out” hahahaha. yeahhh righttt. I know these kids who wrote on here and they have each been caught before “ralph” has been caught about 5 times already and its certainly not stopping him. Also it IS illegal to erase graffiti thats not on your own property without permission. I dont like “taggers” either but I think you all should look at some worse aspects in this world instead of worrying about a little urban art.
