Given the popularity of the recent post asking for people’s favorite breakfast/brunch spot, we thought we’d follow up with the question of what’s your favorite lunch spot in our neighborhoods? Bonus points if you can explain why you like your faves. It’s a three-day weekend, so there’ll be an extra opportunity to get out – assuming your favorite will be open on Labor Day.

Redmill = consistently delicious, beat the long lines by calling your order in, breeze straight to the counter to pay.
Georgia’s Greek = totally reliable, dine in (it’s been quiet every time I’ve been for lunch, although it’s packed and boisterous for dinner) or get it to go. They have an extensive menu, and it seems like a healthier choice than most.
El Chupacabra = not the most “authentic” Mexican food ever, but solid, and tasty. Again, not usually too crazy for lunch, but you can still get a margarita!
Ken’s Market = delicious sandwiches, made to order, in addition to some more gourmet style ready-made options. A fine array of snacks and beverages, a perfect healthier lunch or picnic.

Mr. Gyro.
Best in town.

Red Mill would definitely be on any short list. Gordito’s (north a little, I suppose, to truly be Phinney) is also great. Loved Phinney Market for sandwiches, but alas….

I second Mr. Gyro’s; the guys are friendly and food is entirely delicious and amazing. The baklava is also really really good.

Falafel King! Beats Mr. Gyros by a MILE! Also Green Bean Cafe has really great sandwiches and salads.
