One of our readers, who wishes to remain anonymous, took these photos on NW 48th from about 1st to 8th Avenue NW, saying it will give people something to talk about during the National Night Out block parties next Tuesday. More details on our events page.
Unfortunately for the owners, it’s up to them to clean up the mess. KIRO and KING also did stories on it.

Looks like the work of someone who is graduating from HS next year, along with maybe someone who is class of ‘11.

Ugh — tagging cars takes an already low activity even lower. It’s one thing to have to paint your garage door.

I saw this vandalism reported on the KOMO TV 4. I wonder if that bit of fame encourages the vandals or not?

Please please please, use digital software to “haze out” the tag. The last thing we should be doing is giving the taggers more publicity - that’s why they tag in the first place. If you show the damage but make the tag indecipherable, it will get the news out without encouraging more of the same.

I would really like to hear if any of these idiots get caught. “tagging” is supposed/used to be for “artists” to show there “art” now it is just wannabe children trying to brag.
